Our faculty is dedicated to teaching aspiring actors. Instructors are professional working-actors, so students learn from their expertise earned through decades of film, TV, and theatre performance. As your mentors, VFS instructors share respect for the poetry and beauty of acting, and yet remain conscious of the pragmatism and persistence needed to realize your dream.
Head of Acting for Film & Television
Jennifer Clement is a successful professional actor based in Vancouver.
Jennifer has performed lead roles at Theatres across the country including the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, The Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, ATP and Theatre Calgary, The Belfry in Victoria, WCTC in Kamloops, Dream in High Park and Theatre Plus in Toronto, as well as many Vancouver Theatres: The Vancouver Playhouse, Arts Club Granville Island, Stanley Theatre, Touchstone, Green Thumb, The Cultch, and The Gateway Theatre. She has directed two shows for the Fringe Theatre Festival.
In the film and Television world, Jennifer has starred in the upcoming Canadian film Fidoand on the sci-fi pilot Eureka for the Sci-Fi Network. Jennifer has acted in over 40 television and film projects including The X-Files, The Dead Zone, Waydowntown, My Life as a Dog, and Da Vinci's Inquest.
Through the National Screen Institute, Jennifer was accepted as a producer into the Short Film Program. She went on to produce the Leo award nominated film THE ALLEY. The film aired on the CBC. Jennifer is also a graduate of Ryerson Theatre School and has a BFA from York University.
Jennifer's other loves are food and business; she's co-founder & co-owner of the award-winning Tomato fresh food cafe alongside her mother. The restaurant is an institution in Vancouver.
