Carmen Aguirre

Carmen has been a professional actor since graduating from Studio 58 in 1994. She has 60 film, TV, and stage acting credits, including recurring roles on Da Vinci's Inquest, The L Word, Endgame, and a lead role in the Sundance Award-winning feature Quinceanera.
Carmen has worked with The Vancouver Playhouse, The Arts Club Theatre, The Electric Company, Touchstone Theatre, and other theatre companies in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Toronto, Los Angeles, Mexico, Venezuela, and Chile. She is an award-winning playwright who has written and co-written over 15 plays, directed over a dozen more, and is completing her first book - a memoir entitled Something Fierce, to be published by Douglas and McIntyre in Canada and Granta/Portobello in the United Kingdom.
With 16 years of experience teaching acting, Carmen also facilitates Theatre of the Oppressed workshops around the province.
