Perry Chua

Perry was born to be a designer. And that was never more apparent than when he began his career studying electrical engineering. With the profound words, "I hate this!" Perry left school for a new education - which eventually led him to a successful career as an internationally sought-after brand and graphic designer.

Over the past 15 years, Perry has shown an uncanny ability to apply his strategic thinking to clean, compelling, innovative designs. Although he sees the true reward of his work in the success of his clients, Perry has collected his share of awards from international entities including Applied Arts Awards, and Summit International Awards, among others. In addition to being interviewed by Inc Magazine in 2007 for his brand expertise, Perry's work has been featured in over a dozen Rockport Publishers design journals, a Barcelona design journal, and a Boston University design textbook titled Fundamentals of Graphic Design (Laurence King Publishing, London).

Throughout his career, Perry has developed innovative brand design systems for many clients including McDonald's Restaurants, Sun-Rype Products, Mountain Equipment Co-op, Intrawest ULC and Nokia.

Perry currently resides in Vancouver, Canada with his wife Lori and their two adorable children. He is the Design Director at Spring Advertising and Design and continues his pursuit of design excellence through his work with an impressive list of clientele.

Perry is the co-author of Logo Savvy: Top Brand-design Firms Share their Naming and Identity Strategies, released in March 2007 and available in bookstores worldwide. He is currently working on his second book on brochure and annual report design.
