Josh Carpenter
Industry Mentor
In 2000, Josh discovered that people would pay him to do what he'd always enjoyed most: design. Graduating from VFS in 2003, he has worked on interactive and motion graphics projects large and small across Canada for clients such as Cossette, Alias, and UBC. He generally sums up his job duties for non-techies as "Make things look good, and easier to use." This has led him to extensive work in kiosk design, working with local development companies to develop engaging touch screen interfaces that balance slick design elements such as motion graphics with smart, intuitive interface design.
Perpetually learning, Josh has collected a wide range of skill sets and tools and currently brings them all to bear working on highly multi-disciplinary projects for Vancouver multimedia company Big Green, where he is in his second year as Senior Designer.
