Todd Smith is a freelance motion designer and photographer based out of Vancouver. He is an active member and contributor to Vancouver ACM SIGGRAPH, the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC - BC Chapter), and the Canadian Association of Photographers and Illustrators in Communications (CAPIC).
Todd has worked with such clients as Nike, Red Bull, Carlsberg Brewery, Iceland Air, and the Liberal Party of Canada. Working under THANK YOU in Copenhagen, Denmark he produced a unique revival of stop-motion animation for such clients as MTV Scandinavia, Egils Brewery (an Icelandic subsidiary of Pepsi), DR (Denmark's national television broadcaster) and the Danish Nurses Union. In addition to his timeline-based work, he has traveled the world as a photo-journalist, capturing images of people, architecture, and cuisine - even embarking on a six-month expedition through Asia sponsored by Nokia Canada. Smith is also the co-author of Two-thousand & Seven - a collection of images and experiences from Asia.
With work that has garnered the attention of Motionographer and Stash Video Magazine, this graduate of Vancouver Film School's Foundation Visual Art & Design program has collected a list of accolades and features, including "Best in Show" in the Globe and Mail, the National Post, and Vancouver's The Province.
