Andrew Laing

Andrew Laing has been a video game enthusiast since he first played Space Invaders at his local bowling alley in 1978. Within two years he had taught himself how to program, and submitted his first completed game to a publisher in 1980, at 12 years of age.

Andrew went on to earn a BA in economics from McMaster University and a diploma from Digipen University in the art of videogame design. Andrew enjoys studying the design of everyday objects and thinking about how to make almost any system more efficient.

Video game design credits include Sega Soccer Slam, Aidyn Chronicles, Rifts: Promise of Power and Detective Brand Golf, which was a finalist in the Independent Games Festival in 2005. Andrew is currently prototyping for a next gen system as well as providing design services to local developers.
