Taught by renowned Mocap specialist, Carrie Thiel, and held at Mimic Performance Capture Studio, this intensive workshop is designed to give you an overview of Motion Capture and introduce the skills, demands and physical elements needed to best prepare you for this much sought-after medium in film, TV, animation and video games. About Carrie Thiel

 

Carrie Thiel is one of the early creatives involved with Motion Capture through her work on the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.  She has worked as an actor, stunt double, fight choreographer, movement consultant/coach, and designer/director of motion capture and has been involved in the development of motion capture for film since 1999, including feature animation performance, crowd sequences and shot specific needs. 

Her film credits include (among others) Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings” Trilogy, Oliver Stone’s “Alexander” and Ridley Scott’s “Kingdom of Heaven”.  She has spent the last 6 years developing and delivering motion capture courses for actors and stunt performers. Today, she comes back to VFS to deliver our first-ever foundational course in Motion Capture along the side of our industry-partner, Mimic Performance Capture. Carrie's IMDB
