- You will participate in English assignments and production of media art, using a variety of traditional techniques in photography, video and Photoshop.
Courses
Term 1 - 8 weeks
English for Arts Fundamentals 1 - 114 hours
This course focuses on developing the language, fluency, and communication skills necessary for students to be able to describe projects, pitch ideas, and deliver presentations. In addition, students will learn to organize and express their ideas following instructions for various layouts and tasks using industry-specific vocabulary related to creative arts.
Creative Arts Fundamentals 1 - 120 hours
Students will learn how to apply fundamental skills of visual design and aesthetic principles to photography, video and advertising projects. The course outcomes also include critical thinking, composition and image-making techniques in still photography and motion picture.
Core assignments: Elements of Design and Composition; Lens-based Media and Motion Picture and Photoshop.
Term 2 - 8 weeks
English for Arts Fundamentals 2 - 114 hours
Students will continue to develop the language, fluency, and communication skills necessary to describe projects, pitch ideas, and deliver presentations. Creative Arts Fundamentals 2 - 120 hours
