Announcement Highlights:
- VFS Search Tour Begins Sept. 15 and will visit more than 25 different cities including stops in PEI, Nunavut, Yukon and the Northwest Territories
- VFS is announcing a new $500,000 Search Scholarship Fund to provide financial aide to students until Dec. 5 2017
- The Acting for Film & Television Program will also be hosting live auditions during tour where future students will get a chance to apply directly to a special creative panel
(Vancouver, B.C.) September 15, 2017 – Vancouver Film School has just announced it is embarking on a massive and groundbreaking tour from coast to coast searching for the most talented, passionate and aspiring young Canadian creatives looking to build a career in production arts or creative technology.
The 25-city Search Tour gives prospective VFS students the opportunity to meet faculty face-to-face, and learn everything they need to know about the school’s 13 award-winning entertainment arts and creative media technology programs.
During the cross-Canada tour, $500,000 in a special “The Search Scholarship” will be available to prospective VFS students in amounts between $1,000 and $10,000 for the January to June 2018 start dates.
And, for the first time ever, Vancouver Film School (VFS) is giving prospective Acting for Film + Television students across the country the chance to audition live in front of a panel of special industry and celebrity judges for admission to the award-winning program.
The VFS Acting Program Live Audition Tour (Sept. 8 to Dec. 5) will make stops throughout every major Canadian province in more than 25 cities. Each will feature a panel of industry professionals who will offer coaching and career mentoring advice in addition to informing the actors immediately after their audition if they have been officially accepted into the VFS Acting for Film and Television program.
