Award-winning Canadian School opening Colombian office, offering scholarship to help connect massive local talent pool to renowned education destination

(Vancouver, B.C.) November 22, 2017 – Vancouver Film School is announcing launch of a new admissions office in Colombia to help meet unprecedented demand from the region.
On December 1, 2017 VFS will hold a launch event to celebrate the opening of a new admissions office in Colombia to service the country and the surrounding region. The demand for information and support in applications for the award-winning Canadian school has grown exponentially over the past five years, and as such the school has approved a permanent presence in the area to help meet that need.
The new office, located in Capital Tower, Bogotá, will have advisors and staff on-hand to help prospective talented candidates plan out their educational path in one of over a dozen renowned programs, including Acting for Film + Television, 3D Animation and Design, and Digital Design.
Diana Perez from Vancouver Film School will be on hand to celebrate the opening, available for interviews with all media groups.
The presentation event will begin at 7PM until 9PM at the JW Marriot Hotel Bogotá, Room 110 Mts2, commencing with an overview of the School’s history and the successful students who have emerged from the region over the past 30 years. Details of the new scholarship, exclusive to Colombia and the surrounding region, will follow. A catered cocktail event will close out the evening, with VFS alumni on-hand to answer questions.
As an incredibly unique opportunity, a full scholarship will be given away to one student candidate attending the Office Launch Celebration Event. Potential students must attend the event and submit an application for an opportunity to win a full tuition-paid scholarship in Film Production, Writing for Film, Television + Games, Acting for Film + Television, 3D Animation + Visual Effects, Programming for Games. Web + Mobile, Digital Design, or Foundation Visual Art + Design programs. The winner will be notified January 2018 and can begin attending their choice of VFS program prior to June 2018.
