In April 2018, multi-award winning schools VFS and ILAC are launching a new program for international students to pursue post-secondary training and careers in the media arts.
Announcement Highlights:
- ESL curriculum created specifically for international students with interest in pursuing further education in media arts.
- Joint instructional and curriculum design expertise from 2 multi-award winning schools.
- Practical, hands-on creative arts projects supported by in-depth lessons on English language fundamentals.
- Pathway for international students to gain the necessary creative arts-related language skills to enter an advanced one-year program at VFS.
(Vancouver, Canada) This program combines VFS’ 30 years of experience in entertainment media programming with ILAC’s long-held status as one of the most reputable ESL schools in Canada. Providing students with an immersive experience and access to world-class facilities and curriculum, the program will set them up for success and further studies in the creative entertainment arts.
Students will gain practical, industry-relevant skills in relation to film, photography, animation, and game design. In addition, they will acquire vital communication, workplace and intercultural competencies, such as teamwork and critical thinking. Students will participate in English language lessons, and use these team-based communication and language skills in hands-on, project-based workshops focusing on popular media forms.
