Vancouver Film School 3D Animation & Visual Effects program named #1 in the world for 2020

VFS once again tops Animation Career Review school rankings based on academic reputation, selectivity, depth and breadth of program, value, location, and employment data

Announcement Highlights:

  • Vancouver Film School tops Animation Career Review’s Top 25 professional training programs rankings, based on a survey of 192 colleges and schools worldwide.
  • A number of fellow institutions including Vancouver Institute of Media Arts, Think Tank Training Centre, and Capilano University also make the list, showcasing the strength of the creative economy in Canada.
  • The list also features internationally recognized powerhouses like Germany’s Filmakademie Baden-Wurttemberg, England’s National Film and Television School, and Malaysia’s The One Academy.

(VANCOUVER, B.C.) March 19, 2020 – Vancouver Film School is proud to announce that its award-winning 3D Animation & Visual Effects program has once again been ranked #1 in the world by Animation Career Review.

One of the world’s most respected sources of information for aspiring animation professionals, Animation Career Review surveyed 192 colleges and schools worldwide to compile its 2020 Top 25 Animation Training rankings. For the second year in a row, Vancouver Film School landed in the top spot, based on academic reputation, selectivity, depth and breadth of program, value, location, and employment data.

Vancouver Film School’s one-year 3D Animation & Visual Effects program offers specializations in 3D animation, modelling, and visual effects. Notable alumni include Lino DiSalvo (Frozen, Playmobil: The Movie), Andrew Lawson (Frozen 2), Pedro Eboli (Cupcake & Dino), and Image Engine general manager Shawn Walsh.
