Job Scope
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Building Services & Facilities Technician will be responsible for various tasks involving the maintenance of our campuses.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee daily facility operations, maintenance, and repairs
- Light carpentry projects
- Painting and drywall repair
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs
- Ensure compliance with safety, building codes, and regulatory standards
- Coordinate space planning, moves, and renovations
- Performs other duties as needed
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in building operations and maintenance
- General experience with HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance systems
- General experience working safely with power tools and other hardware implements.
- General experience with carpentry, painting, drywall and plumbing-related issues.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience working with computers and basic knowledge of email, internet and word processing
- Valid BC driver??™s license
Total Compensation
- Salary between $45000 and $50000 per annum
- 2 weeks vacation
- 3 personal days, 5 sick days
- Health and medical benefits, including extended benefits
