Job Scope

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Building Services & Facilities Technician will be responsible for various tasks involving the maintenance of our campuses.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily facility operations, maintenance, and repairs
  • Light carpentry projects
  • Painting and drywall repair
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs
  • Ensure compliance with safety, building codes, and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate space planning, moves, and renovations
  • Performs other duties as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in building operations and maintenance
  • General experience with HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance systems
  • General experience working safely with power tools and other hardware implements.
  • General experience with carpentry, painting, drywall and plumbing-related issues.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience working with computers and basic knowledge of email, internet and word processing
  • Valid BC driver??™s license

Total Compensation

  • Salary between $45000 and $50000 per annum
  • 2 weeks vacation
  • 3 personal days, 5 sick days
  • Health and medical benefits, including extended benefits
