A Look Inside How Film Works
This course has been crafted to provide an intensive introduction to anyone interested in working in the film industry. Focused on the day-to-day operation of the motion picture process, this course delivers insight on industry processes, offers guidance on the sustainability of different positions and roles, outlines the screening process for entry-level positions, and helps to guide development of the skills you’ll need on the job.

Get Ready To Be On Set
You will receive information on industry structure, the stages of production, different job types, training, certification, the code of conduct, terms that are used on set, how to act on set, communication skills, basic safety, and contact information for film resources in BC.
Most labour organizations within BC film require completion of this course as a prerequisite for work.

Current VFS Students and Alumni who graduated within 4-months receive free entry, space permitting. VFS Alumni who graduated within 1-year receive 50% off, space permitting.
*The $75 fee does not include the $50 exam fee which is payable to ActSafe when you register for the online exam.
