Experience the Persuasive Power of Motion Graphics

Through the Applied Motion Design course in the Digital Design program, students collaborate on an Animation Jam, connecting their individual projects through a shared theme and style. Professional Motion Graphics Designer and VFS Instructor Sean Conroy will showcase the student workflow with real examples, including broadcast-ready motion design elements created by 10+ Digital Design students for the 2025 Invictus Vancouver Whistler Games. Industry Talk: Building a Career in Motion Design

One of the specializations of VFS’s Digital Design program, Motion Design is the art of bringing graphic design to life through animation. In this motion design career talk hosted by Senior Instructor Nour Al-Amoudi, you’ll hear from a Digital Design alum (stay tuned for this announcement!) as they discuss their VFS student experience, how they launched their career in digital design, and advice for emerging artists on how to build successful careers in motion design and UX/UI design.

Through a demo hosted by VFS Senior Instructor Nour Al-Amoudi, learn how to design unforgettable AR using Adobe Aero – a tool that lets designers build, view, and share immersive experiences. Through the power of AR, you’ll explore iconic Vancouver landmarks without ever leaving the room!

View Digital Design Portfolio Projects

You’ll have the opportunity to view samples of Digital Design student work, including two key projects: The Client Project and the Graduate Project. In term three, students collaborate with a real-world client, guided by a faculty liaison, to develop an effective design solution. Through terms four to six, they also work with an industry mentor through ideation, pitching, and project development. The showcased case studies and reels highlight work from both Digital Design specializations: UX/UI and Motion Design.
